Getting Started
Follow these steps to install ParlaJam on your WordPress marketplace:
- Download the Plugin – Visit your Customer Portal to download the latest version
- Upload to WordPress – Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
- Activate – Click “Activate” after installation
- Configure – Go to ParlaJam Settings to connect to the chat server
- Get Your Site ID – Your site will automatically register with the server

Technical Requirements
- WordPress 5.8 or higher
- PHP 8.0 or higher
- WooCommerce (for marketplace functionality)
- HTTPS (required for Socket.IO)

Troubleshooting
Chat not appearing?
- Check that your subscription is active
- Verify your site is registered (check WordPress Admin > ParlaJam Settings)
- Ensure HTTPS is enabled on your site
- Check browser console for JavaScript errors
Socket.IO connection issues?
- Verify the chat server is running: Check Server Status
- Ensure your site’s URL matches the registered site ID
- Check for firewall or proxy blocking WebSocket connections
